2 full-page miniatures in colours and gold with full floral and foliate borders: Vespers of the Virgin, the Flight into Egypt (f. 63r); Office of the Dead, Job on the dungheap (f. 73v).
Further miniatures were probably excised. Faint offprints of miniatures are visible where leaves are missing (e.g., after ff. 28, 105).
9 large initials in colours and gold with floral motifs at the beginning of 'Obsecro te' (f. 19v), 'O Intemerata '(f. 23v), Lauds of the Virgin (f. 41r), Prime of the Virgin (f. 48r), Compline of the Virgin (f. 67v), Vespers in the Office of the Dead (f. 102r), the Seven prayers of Gregory (f. 135v), the Hours of the Conception (f. 151r), and the Hours of Barbara (f. 154r).

Dimensions: 160 x 100 mm (text space: 100 x 60 mm).
Foliation: ff. 162 (+ 2 unfoliated paper flyleaves at the beginning + 1 ruled parchment leaf after f. 162 + 2 unfoliated paper flyleaves at the end).
Script: Gothic.
Binding: Post-1600. Brown leather with extensive gold tooling, gilt edges, and vestiges of metal clasps. 'Dorothee' (on a piece of leather pasted on the upper cover), and 'Raimond' (pasted on the lower cover). Previous library and shelfmark details tooled on the spine, largely obscured by later tooling, possibly 'Chateau M... saec. xv...'.

Provenance:
Dorothee Raimond: owned, c. 1600, 'Dorothee' and 'Raimond' stamped in gold on the upper and lower outside covers respectively (see Wright, Fontes (1972)).
Previous library and shelfmark details tooled on the spine, largely obscured by later tooling, possibly 'Chateau M... saec. xv...'.
Nathaniel Noel (fl. 1681, d. c. 1753), bookseller, employed by Edward Harley for buying books and manuscripts chiefly on the Continent, where his agent was George Suttie: sold to Harley on 16 January 1720/21 (see Wright, Fontes (1972)).
The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (b. 1689, d. 1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts, inscribed as usual by their librarian, Humfrey Wanley ‘16 die Januarij A.D. 1720/21' (f. 1r).
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (b. 1694, d. 1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (b. 1715, d. 1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 (a fraction of their contemporary value) under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
