ff. 1*r-1*f, 114r-114v: 2 leaves from an unidentified copy of Constantinus Africanus' Liber Pantegni, a translation of the Al-Kitāb al-Malakī by 'Ali ibn al-'Abbas al-Majusi (d. 982), known in the Latin medieval west as Haly Abbas.
ff. 1-111v : The Brut Chronicle.
The manuscript contains a later addition:
ff. 29r: an engraving on paper representing a 12th-century charter by Godfrey, abbot of Eynsham (1152-1196), with a seal.
[ff. 29v, 112r are blank].
Decoration:
1 large initial in red with pen-flourishing in red and brown (f. 1r); rubrics in red.

Ricardus Byffyelde, a 16th century owner: signed by him (f. 2*r), scribbled below: 'to his loving friend Richard Buffel twelling banburye'.
Hercules Raynsford(e), a 16th century owner: inscribed with his name (f. 114r).
George Henry Lee (b. 1690, d. 1743), 2nd Earl of Lichfield: inscribed by him with a note recording that the manuscript was given by him to his nephew Benedict Leonard Calvert (f. 2*r).
Benedict Leonard Calvert: inscribed with his name recording gift to him by his uncle, G. H. Lee (f. 2*r), see above.
The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724 ), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (b. 1689, d. 1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts.
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (b. 1694, d. 1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (b. 1715, d.1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 (a fraction of their contemporary value) under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
