This volume contains interlinear Psalm translation according to Ibn al-Fadl’s Arabic revision and Latin glosses. It begins: ‘We begin by the help of God…to write the blessed psalms, which were spoken by the mouth of the Prophet David, peace be upon him, through the Holy Spirit’.

Foliation: British Museum foliation in pencil.

Script: Elegant Naskh.Ink: Black ink, with rubricated headings and text dividers in red.
Decoration: First page (fol. 2r) framed with blue, gold and red lines. The headpiece introducing the book contains the Christian basmala written in golden letters in thuluth/muhaqqa and framed within an arabesque pattern in red and blue colour. The first letter of the psalms is also framed. All through, the scribe uses decorative red circles with serpentine down-sloping tails as text dividers. Decorations are used after the end of a psalm to keep the alignment straight.
Binding: British Museum binding.
Condition: Good.
Marginalia: Notes in Latin with Latin glosses written obliquely above each Arabic word.
Catchwords: Lower margin in the left corner of the verso.
