The larger part of this manuscript contains 17th-century materials. It also features an original letter by Pope Eugenius IV (1383–1447) and original grants of arms dating to the reign of King Henry VIII (ff. 199r, 202r).

f. 199r: Sir Thomas Wriothesley's original grant of arms to Richard Andrews of Synton, Worchestershire, dated 27 March 1529; written in French, with a large gold initial in a blue frame, partial (3-sided) borders in colours; and a coat of arms painted in colours and gold.
f. 200r: William Camden's original grant of arms to Alban Stephneth, dated 15 March 1605; written in Latin, with a gold initial and the arms of Alban Stephneth painted in colours and gold.
f. 201r: Sir Richard St George's original grant of arms to Richard Parkes, dated 4 February 1614; written in English, with a gold initial and the arms of Richard Parkes painted in colours and gold.
f. 202r: Thomas Hawley's original grant of arms to Alexander Childeborne, of London, dated 1 December 1529; written in English, with a large initial in gold featuring Thomas Hawley as Clarenceux King of Arms, pointing with a staff to the arms of Alexander Childeborne, which are painted in the border; with a partial (three-sided) foliate border in colours.

f. 207r: 'A Catalogue of the most famous orders of knighthood throughout Christendome both Ecclesiasticall and Secular with the tymes of their Institutions, Foundations, and Patrons, and the Severall Armes, or Ensignes appropriated unto the same Orders'; a large folded parchment sheet with two lists of orders of knights, the first one is of 'Knightes Ecclesiastical; and begins with the Knights of St James of Compostella and ends with the Knights of Holy Lazarus of Jerusalem; the second list is of 'Knightes Secular' and begins with the Knights of the Round Table and ends with the Knights of the Golden Spur; each order is accompanied by its actual or attributed arms in colours; written in the (?) 1st quarter of the 17th century; inscribed on f. 207v: 'The orders of all knights E:5:9'.

Bernkastel-Kues, Library of St. Nikolaus-Hospital, founded by Nicholas of Cues who left his entire library to it; the hospital was in financial difficulties in the 17th and 18th centuries, and therefore sold some of its books, owned f. 198: Its ownership inscription on f. 198r (see Wright, Fontes Harleiani (1972), pp. 120-21).
Sir Thomas Wriothesley (d. 1534), Garter King of Arms 1505, composed f. 199: His original Grant of Arms to Richard Andrews of Synton, Worchestershire, dated 27 March 1529 (see Wright, Fontes Harleiani (1972), pp. 363-64).
William Camden (b. 1551, d. 1623), antiquary and Clarenceux King of Arms, composed f. 200: His original Grant of Arms to Alban Stephneth, dated 15 March 1605 (see Wright, Fontes Harleiani (1972), p. 93).

The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (b. 1689, d. 1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts; inscribed by Humfrey Wanley (b. 1672, d. 1726), its librarian, with the date '14 October 1725' on ff. 199r, 200r, 201r, 202r; and datings for the original documents on ff. 199v and 201v: '27 Martij 1529' and '4 Februarij, 1614'.
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (b. 1694, d. 1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (b. 1715, d. 1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 (a fraction of their contemporary value) under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
