ff. 1r-164v: Antiphonary; with Latin psalms and hymns for liturgical feasts of the Temporale, and featuring a few instructions in Spanish on f. 23r (‘Para la Noche de Navidad’) and f. 28r (‘ Nota que el Invitatorio de los Martyres sirue tanbien para los Confessores mutato nomine’); imperfect at the beginning and end, and missing several leaves throughout; beginning with Psalm 94:4: ‘omnes fines terrae et altitudines montium ipse conspici’.
Decoration:
Large initials with cadels highlighted with yellow; and large blue and red initials throughout, some with plain red frames; one with an anthropomorphic figure and foliate motifs in yellow (f. 28v), and one with foliate decoration in grey (f. 82v). 1 large (2-line) initial in blue and red (f. 122r). Small (1-line) initials in blue or red throughout. 5-staff bars in red ink with clefs and neumes in black ink, and end lines in yellow. Ruling in red ink throughout the manuscript.

Provenance:
The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (b. 1689, d. 1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts.
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (b. 1694, d. 1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (b. 1715, d. 1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 (a fraction of their contemporary value) under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
