Among Pitt's letters is one from him to [Alexander Wedderburn] Lord Loughborough, 19 June 1796 (f. 126); and among Canning's one from [William Wyndham Grenville,] Lord Grenville, to Canning, 28 Dec. 1798 (f. 275). The first of Canning's letters, 12 May 1797, on "negative successes," is in verse, and at the end (f. 299) is a copy of Canning's Oxford Latin prize-poem (1789).
