Among Portland's letters are two to Mrs. Crewe, 1793, 1802 (ff. 11, 102), one to the Duke from Sir John Dalrymple, 1794 (f. 51), and one from David Murray, 2nd Earl of Mansfield, 1796 (f. 67). Among Spencer's letters are a copy of Nelson's narrative of the battle of Cape St. Vincent, 1797 (f. 150), and a letter to Lord Spencer from Herman Witsius Ryland, 1806, with printed Parliamentary Proceedings in the 2nd Session of the 4th Parliament of Upper Canada, and other enclosures (ff. 179-208).
