"VITA di Chiappino Vitelli (d. 1575), Signore di Montone, Marchese di Petriolo e di Citona, e Gràin Commendatore de Caualieri di San Stefano, Conte di Campagna, et Arbitro trà la Maestà Cattolica e d'Inghilterra [l569], nella quale sommariamente si raccontano gli eccelsi gradi e gli egregii fatti militari di questo gi-An Caualiere," by "Don Lorenzo Borgliesi da Città, di Castello." Apparently unpublished. At the beginning (f. 2) is an index, and at the end (f. 166) a list of authorities. The last suggests that the life was written in the first half of the 17th century (after 1614). Another MS. is mentioned by M. d'Ayala (Bibliografia militare-italiana, Torino, 1854, p. 244) as formerly in the possession of Moreni and then in the Bigazzi library. Paper; ff. iii. + 167. Folio. xvii. cent. Belonged in 1792 to Lorenzo Poltri, Abbot General of Vallombrosa, afterwards to Benjamin Heywood Bright (sale-cat. 1844, lot 29). Phillipps MS. 11738 (sale-cat. 1910, lot 120).
