At f. 89 occurs a translation of an intercepted letter of Napoleon to the Queen of Sicily [Maria Carolina, wife of Ferdinand I.] announcing his approaching marriage with Marie Louise, n. d. It is endorsed as enclosed in " Lord Amherst's letter [William Pitt Amherst, 2nd Baron, afterwards 1st Earl, Amherst, Envoy to Naples] of July 16 [ 1810 ?] to Mr Adair " [afterwards Sir Robert, ambassador at Constantinople].
