CHURCH PAPERS. Vol. II. (ff. 369). Correspondence, relating to Greece, with English friends and other Philhellenes; 1822-1829. The series begins with a long letter (3 Sept. 1822) from Sir R. Church to his brother John Dearman Church. Extracts of other letters written before starting are in the band of Lady Church. Among his correspondents as Commander in Chief, 1827-1829, are Admiral [Thomas Cochrance] Lord Cochrane and Captain Frank Abney Hastings of the Greek Navy, Major-General Thomas Gordon, Col. Fabvier, Baron Dentzel and many other foreign officers in Greek employ.
