Nomocanon of Manuel Malaxos, compiled for Joasaph, Metropolitan of Boeotia. In 390 chapters. The text differs considerably from the other manuscripts of this text (Burney MS 55, Harley MS 5554, Add. MS 17471). Preface inc. Θησαυρὸς κεκρυμμένος καὶ πηγὴ ἐσφραγισμένη, text inc. Πρέπει τὸν κριτὴν ἤγουν τὸν ἀρχιερέα. The last chapter is entitled Ἕτερον διαζύγιον ὅταν δαιμονίζεται ὁ ἄνδρας.

Material: Paper.
Foliation: ff ii + 384. One unfoliated blank flyleaf at the beginning, followed by f ii, and two unfoliated blank flyleaves at the end. A number of leaves were bound out of order, and the foliation reflects the correct order of the text: thus f 6 follows f 1, and f 57 follows f 50.
Dimensions: 215 x 150 mm.
Ruling: 140 x 90 mm, 17 lines per page.
Binding: Wooden boards covered with stamped leather (possibly 17th century).
Scribe: Μανουὴλ Μαλαξός, Repertorium 1A, no. 250.

On f 384r is the anathema, dated 1646: Τῶ παρῶν νόμιμον ἐκλελεγμένον εἰς φράσιν πεζὴν ὁνίσθει πρὸς ἀ[σπρων] σι. δήλον ὅτι μετὰ τῆς μεγάλης ἐκκλησίας τὰ στάμενα καὶ ἐπροσυλώθη ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ ἠ τις τὸ λάβη καὶ θεωρήση ἔσω διὰ τινὰ ὑπὀθεσι ἔστω εὐλογημένος σὰν τὸ ἐπιτρέψη· ἡ δὲ φανῆ καν...(?) καὶ τὸ κρατίση καὶ τὸ ἀπονξενόση ἐκ τῆς ἐκκλησίας νὰ ἐχη τὰς ἀρᾶς τῶν τι καὶ η ἁγίων θεοφόρων πατέρων καὶ τὴν πἀναγνον θεοτοκὸν ἀντίδηκην ἐν ἡμέρα κρίσεως καὶ πάντων τῶν ἁγίων ἀμήν. ἐπὶ ἔτει αχμς [1646] ἐσταχώθη.
