ABERDEEN PAPERS. Vol. XC (ff. 300). Papers relating to Austria, chiefly correspondence of Lord Aberdeen with various Austrian statesmen and diplomatists; 1841-1855. English and French. The correspondence, which is arranged chronologically, although concerned primarily with Austrian affairs, in fact covers a wider field and includes papers relating to the activities of the Italian Nationalists. The chief correspondents are Prince Metternich, Baron Philipp von Neumann, Austrian Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary ad interim in London, Baron August von Koller, Counsellor to the Austrian Embassy in London, Count Franz von Colloredo-Waldsee, Austrian Ambassador in London, Prince Felix Ludwig Johann Friedrich von Schwarzenberg. In 1885 the families of Aberdeen and Prince Metternich returned to each other many of their original letters in exchange for copies which form the majority of the Metternich letters in this volume (cf.
