(1) Two letters from Charles FitzCharles, Earl of Plymouth, natural son of Charles II, to his father-in-law, Thomas Osborne, Earl of Danby (1st Duke of Leeds 1691), the first reporting court gossip on the eve of Danby's detention, the second dated from Tangier, where the writer died; 2 Apr. 1679, 12 Aug. 1680. Included also (f. 125) is a copy of his will, endorsed 'Lord Plymouth's last desires to the King; Feb'y 27. 16,.
