EXTRACTS from the "Itinerarium Curiosum" of William Stukeley, M.D. (published 1724), with copies of the plates (which are dated 1721-1723), made by "Chris: Brockell, cler." (in whose hand the MS. is probably written). The order of the plates and extracts differs from the printed text. Reversing the volume are: (a) "Questions from ye Bp. of Lincoln, June 1712. Answer'd," relating to the parish of Belton [near Grantham, co. Linc.], and written by the rector. f. 54 b; (b) Treatise on the Doctrine of the Trinity, June 24, 1788. f. 52 b. Paper; ff. i + 54. 71/2 in. X 51/2 in. XVIII cent. On ff. 5, 26 b, are names of the Gunton family, on f. 15 b is a note by "W. Capon, 1777," and on ff. 29, 47 b, 53, are names of members of the Gray family, incl uding "Charles Gray, Esqre, M. P. for Colchester [ 1761 - 1780], F.R.S., a Trustee of the British Museum and Recorder of Ipswich." Phillipps MS. 3834 (sale-cat. 1911, lot 964).
