Imperf. at end. f. 20; 4. "Legend of ye 3 Kings of Coleyne" : the prose version printed (from other MSS.) by C. Horstmann, E.E.TS., 1886. Beg. "Syth of these three worshypfull kyngs." f. 27; 5. "Mercilesse Beautee." Printed from the unique Pepys MS. by W. W. Skeat, Chaucer's Works, i, 1894, p. 387. Beg. "Your two yën wille sle me sodenly." f. 51; 6. The war between Cæsar and Pompey," in prose, with "envoie" in three 8-line stanzas. Note by Urry: "I doubt if this is Chaucers." Another copy, formerly in the Ashburnham Library (Appendix 134, sale-cat. 1899, lot 82), entitled "The Tragedie of Duke Pompey," has been attributed to Lydgate. Beg. "Whilom as olde bokes maken mention." The "envoie" (f. 60 b) beg. "This litill prose declareth in figure." f. 51b. At the end (f. 61) is "A collation of the manuscript fragments of Chaucer no 1074 [i.e. Pepys MS. 2006] with his printed works no 1281."
