LIVERPOOL PAPERS. Vol. CCLXXIX (ff. 352). Tracts relating to French Finance, circ. 1757-1766 : 1. "Etat actuel des affaires générales des finances du Royaume de France," with a list of the contents and a table of principal matters 1757-1758. f. 1.
2. "Etat actuel des affaires générales concernant les finances du Royaume de France": this has much in common with art. 1, but contains, in addition to the list of contents and table, a definition of the term "Finance" (f. 50), a preface on the aim of the work (f. 50 b) and an account of the origin of the principal taxes (ff. 51- 53). Dat. 1766. f. 49.
3. A tract with the same title as art. 2, with a list of contents and table [after 1762]. f. 121.
4. "Detail general et specifque sur toutes les parties des finances du Royaume de France, avec des observations politiques et interessantes tant sur la multiplicité des impots que de l'administration et la regie des dittes finances: seconde partie," with the definition of finance, etc., as in art. 2, but with a large addition beginning on f. 195 ("Toutes ces differentes regies," etc.), followed (f. 245) by a table [after 1752]. f. 191.
5. "Suite des affaires générales concernant les finances du Royaume de France, ou etat precis de la scituation des peuples avec les fermiers parapport à la regie actuelle de la ferme généralle troisieme partie." [After 1758]. f. 247.
6. "Detail generale et specifique sur tout[es] les parties des finances du Royaume de France: seconde partie" : another edition of art, 4. [After 1759]. f. 304.
7. "Detail general (etc.), avec des observations politiques et interessantes, tant sur la multiplicité onereuse des impots (etc., as in art. 4): seconde partie, 1766," with table. f. 322.
8. "Revenus ordinaires du Roi en 1766," etc.: endorsed "French state of debts" and written on paper of a smaller size than that of the preceding tracts. On f. 350 there is a "Comparison of the debts of England and France." f. 345. Paper. Small quarto. Late XVIII cent.
