"A narrative of Mr. R[oger] A[cherley's] correspondence with the House of Hanover": being chiefly letters and memoirs which passed between him and Godfried Wilhelm von Leibnitz and Baron Bothmer on his proposal in 1712 that the Electoral Prince [afterwards George II] should be called to take his seat in the House of Lords; Aug. 1712-8 Nov. 1714, O.S. ff. 88-110. Followed (ff. 111, 112) by the Queen's Speeches, 6 June, 1712, 2. Mar. 1713[4], and (f. 113) by a copy of The Post Boy, 1-3 July, 1714, all bearing on the same subject. Printed, with MS. notes.

Included are a series of letters of H. Petkum, a political agent, in London in 1715, but later at Hamburg and Aix-la-Chapelle, on Jacobite movements ; and letters of the Duke of Montrose, the Earl of Bradford, the Duke of Douglas, Earl Cowper, Viscount Dupplin, the Earl of Galway, the Earl of Ilay, etc.
