PRIVY COUNCIL Memoranda, 1540-1718, chiefly in the hand of Edward Southwell, but some in that of his father, Sir Robert Southwell. Both father and son held in succession the offices of Clerk of the Council and Secretary of State for Ireland. A companion volume is Add. MS. 35,107. The contents include: 1.
