Further correspondence of Kenneth Mackenzie, 3rd of Suddie, much of it from or concerning his son John, who entered as a trooper the Royal Regt. of Irish Dragoons in 1730, became Ensign in Sutton's Regt. of Foot in 1736, First Lieutenant in Wynyard's Regt. of Marines in 1740, and finally rose to Lieut.-General. Sir Robert Munro, 6th Bart. of Fowlis, recounts in many letters his efforts in his and his brother William's interest. 1731-1740.
