MACKENZIE PAPERS. Vol. VI (ff. 201). Further correspondence of the Scatwell family; 1801-1820. Early in 1810 James Wemyss Mackenzie, 2nd son of Sir Roderick, 4th Bart. of Scatwell, returned from Jamaica; he succeeded to the baronetey in 1811. Much of his correspondence is from his agent in Edinburgh, William Mackenzie, W.S., son and successor. of Alexander Mackenzie, W.S. Included are various returns of the 78th Regt. of Foot (1801-1807) of which John Randoll Mackenzie of Suddie was Lieut.-Colonel (ff. 5, 19, 23, 30, 32, 37, 43, 60).
