PARHAM MS XVII: New Testament, Acts and Epistles (Gregory-Aland 911 [formerly 227ac., 282p.]; Scrivener act. 217 and Paul. 235; von Soden ο29), with ekphonetic neums, lection notes, and a marginal commentary, being a combination of the commentaries of Theophylact and Oecumenius on Acts, an abbreviated version of the commentary of Oecumenius on the Pauline Epistles, and a selection from the text now in Cramer's Catena (1840) on the Catholic Epistles. Imperfect at the end. The volume also contained Revelation, which was cut out by the Hegoumenos of the Karakallou Monastery, and which is now bound separately as Add MS 39601. The missing portion of the Catholic Epistles, now lost, may have been cut out at the same time.

The Revelation portion of the original manuscript (now Add MS 39601) was cut out by the Hegoumenos of the Karakallou Monastery: Curzon, Monasteries (1849), chapter 25.
Acquired by Robert Curzon from the Karakallou Monastery in 1837: inscription (inside upper cover).

Add MSS 39583-39671, along with Oriental MSS 8729-8855, were loaned to the British Museum by Darea Curzon, Baroness Zouche, on 19 April 1876, and bequeathed to the Museum on the death of Baroness Zouche on 7 April 1917, having been part of the collection formed at Parham, Co. Sussex, by the Hon. Robert Curzon, afterwards 14th Baron Zouche, as the result of his travels in the Levant, etc., in 1833 and later. A copy of Robert Curzon's Catalogue of Materials for Writing, ... Rolls and other Manuscripts and Oriental Manuscript Books (1849), with manuscript additions, accompanied the gift, and is now Add MS 64098.
