PARHAM MS XIX: Revelation (Gregory-Aland 911 [=2040], formerly 95ap,; Scrivener apoc. 95; von Soden Αρ 11), imperfect at the end, expl. 20:11, καὶ ὁ οὐρανός, καὶ τόπος, with a marginal commentary by Andreas of Caesarea, Commentarii in Apocalypsin (TLG 3004.001). Originally part of Add MS 39599 (cut out by the Hegoumenos of the Karakallou Monastery), but the hand of the text (perhaps not that of the commentary) is different and a good deal smaller.

Foliation: ff ii + 16. ff 12 and 13 have been reversed in binding. f i is the paste-down on the inside front cover. One unfoliated paper flyleaf at the end.

Ruling: irregular, with the marginal commentary
Binding: Red velvet, 19th century.
Decoration: Illuminated heading. First initial in magenta.

This manuscript was cut out of Add MS 39599 by the Hegoumenos of the Karakallou Monastery: Curzon, Monasteries (1849), chapter 25.
Acquired by Robert Curzon from the Karakallou Monastery in 1837: inscription (f i verso).

Add MSS 39583-39671, along with Oriental MSS 8729-8855, were loaned to the British Museum by Darea Curzon, Baroness Zouche, on 19 April 1876, and bequeathed to the Museum on the death of Baroness Zouche on 7 April 1917, having been part of the collection formed at Parham, Co. Sussex, by the Hon. Robert Curzon, afterwards 14th Baron Zouche, as the result of his travels in the Levant, etc., in 1833 and later. A copy of Robert Curzon's Catalogue of Materials for Writing, ... Rolls and other Manuscripts and Oriental Manuscript Books (1849), with manuscript additions, accompanied the gift, and is now Add MS 64098.
