PARHAM MS XXV: John Chrysostom, In epistulam I ad Corinthios homiliae (TLG 2062.156), imperfect, lacking the end of hom. 26 (expl. ὄνειδος πολλῷ μᾶλ[λον, PG 61.222) and the beginning of hom. 27 (inc. μετὰ ταῦτα κατέβη, PG 61.223), due to the loss of two leaves after f 214. Preceded by a table of contents, ff 1r-v, imperfect at the beginning, and a summary, ff 2r-3v. Hom. 24 (ff 193r-200r) differs from the version in PG.

Foliation: ff 352. Parts of ff 150 and 153 have been destroyed, apparently by damp, and replaced, and adjoining leaves partly rewritten. One unfoliated modern paper flyleaf at the beginning and one at the end.
Dimensions: 345 x 245 mm.
Ruling: 240 x 80 mm, written in two columns, 34 lines per column.
Binding: Blue velvet, 19th century.
Decoration: Head-pieces tinted yellow, initials slightly tinted.

Add MSS 39583-39671, along with Oriental MSS 8729-8855, were bequeathed to the British Museum by Darea Curzon, Baroness Zouche (d. 1917), having been part of the collection formed at Parham, Co. Sussex, by the Hon. Robert Curzon, afterwards 14th Baron Zouche, as the result of his travels in the Levant, etc., in 1833 and later. A copy of Robert Curzon's Catalogue of Materials for Writing, ... Rolls and other Manuscripts and Oriental Manuscript Books (1849), with manuscript additions, accompanied the gift, and is now Add MS 64098.
