PARHAM MS XXX: Revelation (Gregory-Aland 2041; Scrivener apoc. 96; von Soden α1475), with brief marginal notes and kephalaia, probably by the original scribe, but less formally written. The quire-numbers on ff 1v and 10v show the manuscript formed part of a larger volume, possibly Athos, Karakallou 121 (268) (Gregory-Aland 1040). On f 22v is a distich:

Owned by the Karakallou Monastery on Mount Athos.
Three inscriptions on f 22v date from the 16th or 17th century, and name John Thim(?), John Papademetrius, and John Momouge.
Acquired by Robert Curzon from the Karakallou Monastery, probably in the 1830s: inscription (f ii recto).

Add MSS 39583-39671, along with Oriental MSS 8729-8855, were loaned to the British Museum by Darea Curzon, Baroness Zouche, on 19 April 1876, and bequeathed to the Museum on the death of Baroness Zouche on 7 April 1917, having been part of the collection formed at Parham, Co. Sussex, by the Hon. Robert Curzon, afterwards 14th Baron Zouche, as the result of his travels in the Levant, etc., in 1833 and later. A copy of Robert Curzon's Catalogue of Materials for Writing, ... Rolls and other Manuscripts and Oriental Manuscript Books (1849), with manuscript additions, accompanied the gift, and is now Add MS 64098.
