Contents :-(1), Calendar (Misbound, January at f. 6), containing the following saints in red : Pontian (Jan. 14), Servatius (May 13), Boniface (June 5), Odulf (June 12), Lebuin and Adalbert (June 25, Lebuin also at Nov. 12), Remy and Bavo (Oct. 1), Victor and Gereon (Oct. 10), Willibrord (Nos,. 7) ; pointing to the diocese of Utrecht. f. 2 ;-

(3) Hours for the days of the week, viz. :- (a) Hours of the Trinity, [Sunday], imperfect at beginning, after f. 51, and at end. f. 46 ;- (b) Hours of the Dead, [Monday], imperfect at beginning, after f. 57, and at end. f. 53 ;- (c) Hours of the Holy Spirit, [Tuesday], imperfect at beginning, f. 62 ;- (d) " Des Woensdages," i.e. Hours of the Holy Spirit, Wednesday. f. 67 ;-- (e) "Donresdach," i.e. Hours of the Sacrament, Thursday. f. 72 ;- (f) Die Vridaechs metten," i.e. Hours of the Passion, Friday. f. 77 ;- (g) " Die metten van den Saterdages," i.e. Hours of the Virgin, Saturday, imperfect at end. f. 83 ;--
(4) Hours of the Eternal Wisdom, imperfect at beginning and end. f. 88 (5) Hours of the Cross, imperfect at beginning, and after ff. 111 and 120. Followed (f. 122) by a prayer to the Cross, beg. " O gloriose cruus o cruus dat an te bidden is," with versicle and collect. f. 106 ;-
(6) " Hier beghint die ghetide van den heilighen gheest " (rubric only). f. 122 b. Vellum ; ff. 122 (many leaves lost throughout and at the end).
7 1/4 in. x 5 in. Mid XV cent. Written in the diocese of Utrecht. Large initial in colours on gold ground on f. 14. Smaller initials in gold and colours elsewhere. Borders of foliage with figures and grotesques. The style of the decoration closely resembles that in MS .
74. H. 31 in the Royal Library at the Hague (cf. A. W. Byvanck and G. J. Hoogewerff, Noord-Nederlandsche Miniaturen, 1921, etc., pl. 33, tekst, p. 31) and in a MS. in the Wykerslooth collection at the Hague (cf. op. cit., pl. 228, tekst, p. 31, fig. 63), both which MSS. are held to have been produced, probably at Utrecht, circ. 1450. A coarselyexecuted miniature from a later Book of Hours (French, 16th cent.), representing St. John writing, has been inserted before the Calendar (f. 1 b). On f. 1 is the inscription : " R. Curzon. 1856. Bequeathed by Mrs. Willoughby Moore." Binding (18th cent. ?) of red morocco, gilt-tooled. Perhaps Curzon Cat., MSS. in Latin, no. 3 (but see also 39637).
