PARHAM MS. LXXXVII. " THE LAY Of the Purple Falcon," a metrical romance [by Reginald Heber, Bishop of Calcutta, and Robert Curzon , see Dict. Nat. Biogr. xiii, pp. 354-5, and preface to printed edition]. Written in a scrivener's hand on vellum, and illustrated with outline drawings in brown and black ink, some unfinished. An edition limited to 30 copies was printed in 1847 by William Nicol, the Shakespeare Press, Pall Mall, with four woodcuts taken from the drawings on ff. 1, 3, 6, 11. Vellum ; ff. 13. 14 3/4 in. x 9 3/4 in. Early XIX cent. Curzon Cat., MSS. in Modern Languages, no. 15.
