At the end (f. 165) is a list of contents in an 18th cent. hand. Vellum (except ff. iii-xiv); ff. xiv + 167. 12 in. x 8 5/8 in. A.D. 1456-1503. Gatherings of 8 leaves (xvi¹⁰, xviii¹⁰), usually with catchwords. Sec. fol. " domino sperans." Coarsely illuminated initials, one with figure of St. Peter and full border and several with partial borders, occur throughout; other initials in gold and

blue. Choral portions with music in German Gothic neums on three-line stave (sometimes not filled in). Apparently acquired, circ. 1886, by Lord Amherst of Hackney from Bernard Quaritch, the bookseller (cat. 369, Sept. 1886, no. 35778). Purchased at the Amherst Sale (25 Mar. 1909, lot 698) for Rev. E.
