- Title:
- John Foxe's account of Wycliffe and his followers
- Scope & Content:
-
ff. 2v–119v: Autograph account in Latin of John Wycliffe and his followers by the martyrologist John Foxe. Prefixed is a dedication to some unnamed person whom he calls his friend and patron, perhaps either the young Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk, or William Cecil. Apart from the dedication, it was printed in his Rerum ecclesia gestarum (Basel, 1559). He afterwards translated it into English and inserted it towards the beginning of his Actes and Monuments.
ff. 1r–v, 120r–v are medieval flyleaves. The text on ff. 120r–v is Boethius' translation of Aristotle's Analytica Priore.
