A Register of the Right Honourable the Earl of Melfort's Letters during his negotiation at Rome; in three volumes, very fairly transcribed in a French hand.
Vol. I. contains Letters and Memorials dispatched at Rome from the 8th March to the 3d June 1690.
Vol. II. contains Letters and Memorials dispatched at Rome from the 6th June to the 26th Aug. 1690. Vol. III. contains Letters dispatched from the 26th Aug. to the 13th December 1690. At the beginning of this volume is inserted a paper containing a list of Privy Counsellors appointed by King James in 1684, with such as had been since appointed; also lists of principal officers in King James's army, and upon the Civil list 1690. Prefixed to each volume is a table of the persons to whom the letters are addressed.
