It is executedby the same artists as the following (?) volume, and with equal skill and elegance; but is of superior value, as containing a great number of interesting portraits. At the beginning is a Dedication to Freerick William Duke of Saxony; and, at the end, an alphabetical index of names. The present MS. forms the third part of the printed copy of the well known work of Strada's Lives of the Roman Emperors, the originals of the preceding parts being in the Imperial Library at Vienna. It has some variations from the printed copy, and contains, occasionally, more medals than are to be found in the last edition, which has some that do not occur in the manuscript. The great beauty of the drawings renders this volume of considerable value and importance.
