LISTS of English knights, etc., collected [apparently by Sir W. Betham] from a MS. in the office of the Ulster King of Arms, and other sources.
1. Copies of:-(a) An ordinance of the Commissioners for the office of Earl Marshal against the misuse of arms; 10 Nov. 1618. With drawings of the seals attached. f. 1.;-(b) A royal order, directing the enrolment by the Earl Marshal of all knights as soon as created; 15 May, 1622. f. 4.
2. Note of the fees paid at the knighthood of Sir Anthony Dering; 22 Jan. 1618. f. 5.
3. Alphabet of knights, drawn up by Anthony Dering (third son of Sir Anthony Dering., Kt.), who died ill 1658 (cf. f. 5 b). "The original in Ulster's office. W. B." It includes the creations of Elizabeth, James I. and Charles I. The blazon of the arms has been added to many of the names, but in a different hand. f. 6.
