WARDROBE DAY-BOOK (imperfect) for the year 1 Edw. II.
(1307-8). Latin. On f. 2 is the title, "Vn[de] r[espondetur] de anno primo per W[alterum] R[eginaldi]," i.e. Walter Reynolds, Bishop of Worcester [el. Jan. 1308], the Treasurer. A set-off on f. 1 b (properly the last page of the MS.) shows that the same volume originally contained also the accompt of Ralph de Stok, "prouisor" of the Great Wardrobe. The items are ticked off as entered in the classified accompt, e.g. "intratur titulo necessariorum," "clericus mar[esealcie] oneratur," "oneratur [J. de] Brok. nuper custos garderobe R. defuncti." A similar book of Reynolds, as treasurer for the prince the previous year, is in Add. MS. 22,923. Vellum; ff. 10. Phillipps MS. 34,479 (sale-cat., 1896, lot 436).
