1. Narrationes (formulæ for counts or declarations): the standard collection, found, with variations, in many MSS., and printed under the title Novae Narrationes by Pynson (1515, 1516) and Tottell (1561). Beg. "[C]eo vous monstre W. de K. par soun accioun." Imperfect, ending in the chapter on writ of debt. At the foot of the first page is a couplet beg. "Mees, molyn, terra, pree, boscus, pascua, mora" (cf. Royal 11 A. viii. f. 89). f. 3.
2. Year-books of 1-4 (Easter term) Edw. III. They differ considerably from the printed editions of 1596 and 1679, especially in dating, e.g. the Easter and Trin. terms of year 1 in the MS. are printed as Hilary and Easter, the Easter of year 2 includes most of what is printed as Easter and Trin., with other cases not printed. Imperfect. f. 16. Vellum (except f 1); ff. 69. XIVth cent. With old sale-catalogue nos. 2 and 1629. Phillipps MS. 6573, afterwards 26,209 "Sale-cat., 1896, lot 441, where it is said to have belonged to Samuel Heywood, serjeant-at-law, ob. 1828). 14 ¼ X 9 inches.
