0RIGINAL DAY-BOOK of Proceedings of the Trustees appointed 14 May, 1656, "for satisfying of the armyes arrears due for service in Ireland since the 6th of June, 1649, as also English arrears satisfyable in Ireland by Act of Parliament." Preceded by an attested copy of the resolutions of the Council for Ireland, 9 May. and of a Council of Officers, 9, 12 May, for their appointment, and a copy of the actual appointment by the Council for Ireland. The commission, of which the most active member was Dr. William Petty (knighted 1662), sat from 19 May, 1656, to 29 Mar. 1659. Paper; ff. 83. On f. 1 b is a note that the old cover was marked K. From the library of Austin Cooper, F.S.A., sold in Dublin, 1831 (sale-cat. MSS.. lot 10). Phillipps MS. 6466 (sale-cat., 1896, lot 745). Small Folio.
