WARDROBE BOOK of 16-17 Richard II., being the accompt of Baldwin Radyngton, Comptroller of the Wardrobe of the Household, for the third year of office of John Carp[enter?], Treasurer of the Household and Keeper of the Wardrobe, viz. for the year ending 30 Sept. [1393]. Latin. It comprises the following heads:-
(1) "Recepta seaccarii" (cf. 35,114, art. 1). f. 2;-(2) "Recepta forinseca" (cf. ibid. art. 2). f. 4;-(3) Day-book of expenses in the several departments of the Household, without particulars, but showing the court's itinerary. f. 6;-(4) Classified heads of expenditure, in detail. f. 33;-(5) "Prestita et remanencia." f. 46 ;-(6) "Liber Jocalium" (cf. 35,114, art. 4). f. 47. Vellum; ff. 52. A.D. 1393. Phillipps MS. 13,649, marked also B. 14. 1066 (sale-cat., 1897, lot 626). In the Phillipps folio-cat. noted as acquired from the bookseller Payne. 13 ½ X 10 inches.
