At the end of some of these divisions a balance is struck with the allowance "in rotulo hospicii Regis" (ff. 8 b, 18, 26 Many entries are struck out, sometimes with a marginal explanation, e.g. "cancellantur quia intrantur titulo de donis per preceptum Regine" (f. 38), "Iste particule, cancellantur quia ponuntur super eodem libro de compoto ad compotum factum Londoniis xix. die Martii anno r.
