Every page of the Calendar is illustrated with pictures of country life, hunting, hawking, etc., and the rest of the MS. contains fourteen large and two small miniatures, finely executed by French artists. The large miniatures are enclosed in architectural borders. Each page is framed in a gold border. Bound in dark-green morocco, blind-tooled, the covers lined with red morocco richly tooled in gilt. Belonged to George Daniel of Canonbury (signature, 1848, on fly-leaf), in whose sale-cat. (1864, lot 1178) the binding is ascribed to Bauzonnet-Trautz. 6 1/8 X 3 ½ in.
