HARDWICKE PAPERS. Vol. CIII. Letters from the same to his son-in-law, Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke; 1745-1780. With one (f. 1) from John Campbell, 2nd Earl of Breadalbane and Holland, 1740; and one (f. 158) from John Campbell, Baron Glenorchy, son of the 3rd Earl, 1763 (?). Among the enclosures are an account of the battle of Culloden by Duncan Campbell, captain in the Argyllshire Militia (f. 36), and a copy of the dying speech of James Stewart of Appin, condemned as accessory to the murder of Colin Campbell of Glenure in 1752 (f. 104).
