HARDWICKE PAPERS. Vol. DXXXV II. Papers relating (a) to Sweden, 1707-1772, partly copies from Sir John Goodricke's despatches, etc., made for the 2nd Earl of Hardwicke, and (b) to the administration of Minorca, 1749-1763, apparently from Charles Yorke's papers. The contents include:-
1. "Character of the King of Sweden [Charles XII.], in a letter from [Thomas Wentworth,] Lord Raby, to [Charles Montague,] Lord Halifax, 1707" (cf. Add. M S. 31,022, f. 111). Copy.
2. Reply, signed by [William Stanhope, Lord] Harrington, to memorials presented to George II. by the Swedish minister; 27 Feb. 1735. Fr. Copy.
