HARDWICKE PAPERS. Vol. DLXXXY. Transcripts of state correspondence and papers relating, almost exclusively, to the Roman Catholics in Ireland; 1697-1798. From the accidental substitution by the transcriber of the date "1804" for "1697" in the second letter, and from a note (f. 14) in the hand of' Philip Yorke, 3rd Earl of Hardwicke, Lord Lieutenant (1801-1806), it may be inferred that the transcripts were made for the latter's use in 1804.
