HARDWICKE PAPERS. Vol. DCCXXXIX. Treatise on Parliaments, by Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham and 6th Earl of Winchilsea, probably written while he was a member of the House of Commons (1673-1682), the latest reference (in a note, f. 27 b) being to a vote of 167 6/7, but a list of sovereigns since the Conquest at the end (f 146) extends to the accession of James II. Copied (see Lord Hardwicke's note on f. 1 b) from the Earl's autograph MS. in the custody of his son and successor, 1757. Paper; ff. 147. 1757. 7 ½ X 5 in.
