The collection was made for Carvalho [Marquis of Pombal in 1770] when he came as Portuguese Ambassador to England in 1739, and has marginal notes by him. At f. 260 is an original letter to him from Luis da Cunha [Portuguese Ambassador in France]; Paris, 24 Jan. 1739. Paper. Quarto.
