Among them are copies of other correspondence; an original letter in English from Jacob de Castro Sarmento, physician at the Portuguese Embassy; 24 June, 1742, f. 93; tables in French of English duties upon French and Portuguese wines, and a copy of a memorial in French on the wine duties, sent in to the Duke of Newcastle in the spring of 1745, with his answer in French, signed "Holles Newcastle," f. 109.
