"LE petit bocace," or "le temple de bocace," written by George Castellain, or Châtellain, at the instigation of Margaret of Anjou, widow of Henry VI. of England, and printed at Paris in 1517, under the title "Le temple [de] Johan Bocace de la ruyne d'aulcuns nobles malheureux, faict par George son imitateur." At the beginning and end of the volume is the following inscription: "Ce petit liure appelle le petit bocace appartient a maistre Jehan Cueillete notaire et secretaire du Roy lequel il a fait faire a tours et doubler, par Rene de la haye libraire, ou moys doctobre IIIIcc IIIIxx XVIII." This inscription is followed by others, containing the names of subsequent owners, Mathurin and Loys Hantry, and "Nicolas Hantry, demourant a Cheureuse," mottoes in French and Latin, and the following: "Ce Liure m'a esté donné en l'année 1657, 9bre, par feu Mr de Saintyon Conseiller d'Estat etc. qui est mort l'année suiuante 1658, le 11 7bre. Requiescat in pace. Fleury." Vellum: with illuminated initials and a few borders; 1448. Small Folio.
