NAPIER PAPERS.- Vol. XXXII (ff. 2). " St. Vincent: Standing Order Book," 30 June 1847-1 Mar. 1849, containing signed copies of general orders circulated by Adm. Sir C. Napier among the respective captains and commanders of ships under his command. In some cases receipt of the orders is acknowledged by the signature of officers of the ships to which they were sent. A similar standing order-book by Napier, on board H.M.S. " Duke of Wellington," Mar.-Aug. 1854, is in the P.R.O. (Napier Papers, Vol. XVII). A list of contents and a subject index are prefixed.
