Three letters and a petition, in French, of the early 14th cent., viz.:-(1) Letter mentioning a debt owed by the Prior of Holy Island. f. 74;-(2) Letter, apparently to the Prior of St. Leonard's, Stamford, reporting that John de Ellerker desires to sell land in Stamford which would be suitable for the convent. f. 75;-
(3) Petition of Geoffrey de Hartlepool to the King in Council, requesting a transference of his suit with Sir Ralph Fitzwilliam relative to rents in Brereton [Brearton, co. Durh.] from the Bishop of Durham's Court to the King's; circ. 1312. For a Latin version see Rot. Parl., i, p. 295. f. 76;-(4) Letter to Geoffrey de Hartlepool stating that Sir Ralph Fitzwilliam's men are preventing the harvest in Brereton; circ. 1312. f. 77. All vellum.
