G. Letter from [Charles de Marguetel de Saint-Denis, Seigneur de] Saint-Évremond to the Abbé [Jean] de Hautefeuille, on financial matters; 9 May [1689 ?]. Three other letters to the Abbé on the same subject are dated 8 Sept. (Inv. des Autographes . . . de M. Benjamin Fillon, no. 977), 19 Sept. (E. Charavay, Lettres de la Coil. Bovet, Séric vi, no. 676) and 22 Oct. (Lille MS. 984, f. 519 ; see W. M. Daniels, St.-Évremond en Angleterre, p. 76), while a letter from Ninon de Lenclos (Add. MS. 18675, f. 26 ; probably to the Abbé de Hautefeuille) relative to the same affairs and dated 29 May is printed by Colombey, Correspondance de Ninon de Lenclos, p. 161, under the year 1689, to which the present letter may therefore be referred.
