Q. Scrap of paper inscribed, in Thomas Moore's hand, "From my darling mother, given to me on the 15th. of February, 1831," and formerly enclosing a Hispano-Mexican dollar-piece of 1772 stamped with the name and date of birth of Moore. Followed (f. 133) by a photograph of the dollar, which is now in the Dept. of Coins and Medals. Cf. Times Lit. Suppl., 1925, pp. 897, 909. f. 132. Transferred from the Dept. of Coins and Medals.
