DECLARATION published by Archibald Campbell, 9th Earl of Argyll, previous to his attempt to raise the Western Highlands, in May, 1685; intitled, "The declaracione and apologie of the protestant people . . . now in arms, within the kingdome of Scotland," etc.; signed "Arch[ibal]d Campbel, E[arl] of Argylle," and dat. 19 May, 1685. At the end is added, "Printed att Campbeltowne . . . Anno 1685," f. 2.
2. "Ane accompt of some things that past betwixt the earle of Argyle, and his sister the Lady Lowthian, quhen shee tooke her fareweel of him, on the Saboath before he suffered," etc.; ending with his death on the scaffold [30 June], f. 8.
