MANUAL of prayers, thanksgivings, and meditations, transcribed by Henry Holme; with a table of contents at the end. At f. 91 are, "Thankfull Rememberances of Gods wonderfull Diliuerances of this Land," to which title is added, "printed for frances Leach. 1690." These are followed by "Verses of mans mortality, with others of the Hope of his Resurrection;" beginning with the lines, "Like as the Damask Rose you see," etc., which are commonly attributed to Henry King, Bishop of Chichester in 1642-1669, f. 104. The Manual concludes with a few more verses, entitled "The Bellmanns sound for the fifth of November," f. 106. After the table of contents, f. 111, is "The testement of the twelue patriarchs the sons of Jacob," or Genesis, chap. XLIX. ver. 1-27, turned into doggrel rhymes. Paper; 1690- 1770. Small Octavo.
